READ THIS:

“Christian human rights attorney Gao Zhisheng was seized by a dozen police officers from his apartment on February 4, 2009. He disappeared for more than a year at the hands of the Chinese Government, leading to grave speculation about his whereabouts and condition.

Gao Zhisheng has been repeatedly kidnapped, arrested, imprisoned and tortured by Chinese authorities for defending the persecuted. He has been an unyielding and iconic advocate for justice in the Chinese courts and has been nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize (2008 and 2010).

On March 27, 2010, Gao Zhisheng suddenly resurfaced, after being hidden for more than one year. He spoke with his family for the first time since his abduction and connected with friends, colleagues, and even international media. His every movement was watched and monitored by the Chinese government.

On April 15 and 16, Gao visited his in-laws in Xinjiang, telling them he would be flying home to Beijing at 10 AM on April 20. Gao Zhisheng never arrived home to his apartment, and has not been seen or heard from since.”

Go to FreeGao.com to see a video dramatization of what our brother in Jesus Christ has gone through already.  Please watch it.  It is a powerful tool for awakening us to the plight of our persecuted family in God around the world.

ChinaAid also recently posted an update concerning Gao:

“Recent efforts by Gao’s family members have failed to induce any action from either Washington or Beijing. Pleas for help from Gao’s daughter to President Obama have so far yielded nothing but silence. Gao’s older brother went to Beijing to search for him but was met with scoffing from the police.”

Please, sign the petition and help raise awareness for the plight of Gao and other Christians being persecuted for their faith in China.  You can also send a letter to your U.S. Representative and the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon.  You can also send emails to top government officials and media sources in China.  This is an easy, yet important way to spread the word and fight for justice for your brother in the faith!  Do it!  Today!

Finally, pray for Gao, that God would deliver him from his torturers, but even more importantly, that he would faithfully declare the testimony about our Lord.
